How to play Bunker Solitaire

Layout:

8 tableau piles: Regardless of the suit, build up. Only one card can be moved at a time. Any card can be used to fill a space. At the start of the game, each pile is dealt one card.

Stock: Click to shift 1 card to waste. There are no redeals.

Waste: Top card available for play from waste.

Tableau:

Splayed downhill, eight tableau piles of one card each. Every card is dealt face-up.

A card may be added to a tableau pile if it is one higher than the pile's previous top card and is of any suit. As a result, the only card that might be played on a 7 is an 8.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card can be played onto any other tableau pile.

Any card can fill an empty slot in the tableau.

Technically, only one card may be moved at a time, but because super moves are allowed, we will allow you to move sequences when there are enough vacant tableau columns to achieve the same result with a series of single card movements.

Stock and waste:

There is one garbage pile and the remaining cards comprise the stock.

When you click on the stock, one card from the stock is dealt to the garbage. There can only be one trip through the stock.

The top waste card is now accessible for tableau play.

Notes:

The goal is to bring all of the cards into play by stacking them up regardless of suit, which brings more cards into play through the empty spaces produced. If all cards from the stock and trash are moved onto the tableau, the game is over.
