How to play Deuces and Queens Solitaire

Foundation:

Foundation piles are classified into two types.

The Ace Foundation

The ace foundation has four piles. Any two cards may be transferred to any vacant pile in the ace foundation. A card may be added to an ace foundation pile if it is one higher than the old top card of the pile and of any suit. As a result, the only card that could be played on a K is an A. There can be no more than 13 cards in a pile.

The King Foundation

The king's foundation is divided into four piles. Any queen may be transferred to any empty pile in the king's foundation. A card of any suit may be added to a king foundation pile if it is one lower than the pile's previous top card. As a result, the only card that might be played on a 10 is a 9. There can be no more than 13 cards in a pile.

Cards may be removed from any foundation.

Reserve:

There are three reserves, each with thirteen cards at first. Every card is dealt face-up. There are no cards that can be moved into the reserves. Each reserve's top card can be played to any non-empty tableau pile or foundation.

Tableau:

Splayed downward, four tableau piles of one card each. Every card is dealt face-up.

A card may be added to a tableau pile if it is one higher or one lower than the pile's previous top card and of any suit. As a result, the cards that might be played on 5 are 4 or 6.

Cards on the tableau that are not covered by another card can be played onto the foundation or any non-empty tableau pile.

Empty tableau spots are immediately filled with a card from the stock. If the stock is empty, the tableau's empty spots may not be filled.

Only one card may be moved at a time; sequences are not permitted.

Stock and waste:

There is one garbage pile and the remaining cards comprise the stock.

When you click on the stock, one card from the stock is dealt to the garbage. There can only be one trip through the stock.

The top waste card can be played to any non-empty tableau pile or foundation.
