How to play Racing Aces

Layout:

16 foundation piles: Construct the first four piles from Aces to Kings up regardless of suit, the next four piles from Sixes to Aces down regardless of suit, the following four piles from Sevens to Kings up regardless of suit, and the final four piles from Kings to Aces down regardless of suit.

6 tableau piles: Card storage places Each pile may only have one card. Stock is used to fill the empty spaces. When the stock is depleted, any card can fill the void. At the start of the game, one card is dealt to each pile.

3 reserve piles: Top card available for play on the foundations. At the start of the game, each reserve is given 13 cards.

Stock: Stock By clicking, turn over 1 card at a time to the garbage pile. There are no redeals.

Waste: Top card available for play on the foundations or tableau.

Foundation:

Foundation piles are classified into four types.

The Aces Foundation

There are four piles in the aces foundation. Any ace may be transferred to any vacant pile in the aces foundation. A card may be added to an ace's foundation pile if it is one higher than the pile's former top card and of any suit. As a result, the only card that could be played on a J is a Q. There can be no more than 13 cards in a pile.

The Sixes Foundation:

There are four piles in the sixes foundation. Any six can be transferred to any vacant pile in the sixes foundation. A card can be added to a sixes foundation pile if it is one lower than the pile's former top card and of any suit. As a result, the only card that might be played on a 3 is a 2. Each pile is constructed from six to ace. After then, no further cards may be played.

The Seven's Foundation:

There are four piles in the seven's foundation. Any seven may be transferred to any vacant pile in the seven's foundation. A card may be added to a sevens foundation pile if it is one higher than the pile's former top card and of any suit. As a result, the only card that could be played on a K is an A. Each pile progresses from seven to king. After then, no further cards may be played.

The Kings Foundation

There are four piles in the king's foundation. Any king may be moved to any vacant pile in the king's foundation. A card may be added to a king's foundation pile if it is one lower than the pile's former top card and of any suit. As a result, the only card that might be played on a 10 is a 9. There can be no more than 13 cards in a pile.

Cards may be removed from any foundation.

Reserve:

There are three reserves, each with thirteen cards at first. Every card is dealt face-up. There are no cards that can be moved into the reserves. Each reserve's top card can be played to any empty tableau pile or foundation.

Tableau:

There are six tableau piles of one card each. Every card is dealt face-up.

On the tableau, no construction is authorized.

The tableau cards can be played on the foundation or any empty tableau pile.

Empty tableau spots are immediately filled with a card from the stock. If the stock is empty, any card may be used to fill the tableau's empty places.

Only one card may be moved at a time; sequences are not permitted.

Stock and waste:

There is one garbage pile and the remaining cards comprise the stock.

When you click on the stock, one card from the stock is dealt to the garbage. There can only be one trip through the stock.

The top waste card can be played to any empty tableau pile or foundation.
